Kam is a certified trauma professional through the International Association of Trauma Professionals (IATP). She maintains several additional certifications including a certified health and wellness coach, and an integrative mental health specialist. Additionally, she is a personal trainer, fitness nutrition specialist and an integrative life coach. She is a lifelong resident of Northern Colorado, where she has been a small business owner, a youth sports coach and currently serves on UC Health’s Patient and Family Advisory Council. Kam also volunteers as a grief and loss advocate and group facilitator in Larimer County. She spent several years working and volunteering for local law enforcement where she managed Victims Response Team processes and personnel and provided direct services and support for crime victims and their families. Her background with law enforcement officers and her own qualification as a nationally-registered emergency medical technician led Kam to become certified in providing peer support for emergency responders. Kam is married and has two adult children. Her own life experiences and battle with cancer have provided her with unique insights and a passion for helping others to overcome challenges and life events so that they can live their lives bravely.
