Slopeside counseling

At Slopeside Counseling the practice includes a mindfulness-based approach and deep cultural sensitivity. Meeting your personal goals of gaining awareness of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are done in a confidential and caring manner. The focus is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. We achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan. We promise to be there for you every step of your journey. The goal is to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life.

Slopeside counseling is excited to announce that Kelli Gilchrist has joined the practice and will be operating out of the new office located in Golden at 1019 8th Street.

Kelli Gilchrist retired as a Firefighter with a large fire department in Colorado and is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor. She has a master’s degree in Clinical Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado. Kelli plays a major role in her department’s Peer Support Team and founded a support group for the spouses of the department.Kelli is a full-time mom, step-mom and wife. She is married to Jeff Gilchrist, a fire department Lieutenant. Kelli “grew up in the firehouse,” as the daughter of a retired truck Captain of 37 years. She takes a practical and integrated approach to help find clear solutions, and hopefully a sense of calm. Peace of mind, body and heart can be so difficult with the work that we do. She understands the difficulties of the job, the importance of confidentiality, and how this work can affect our children and family. Kelli is also trained in EMDR Therapy and has had great success with emergency responders and their families.
